Local Company’s Donation to Terry Fox Secondary School "Head Shave" Challenge Helps Students Exceed Fundraising Goal
October 30th 2007, Port Coquitlam, BC. Rhino Marketing Inc. - Terry Fox Secondary School exceeded their fundraising objective this past Friday, raising a total of $21,753.58 for the Fox Foundation.
A very successful "Spirit Assembly" hosted by the Terry Fox student council Friday, Oct 26th, marked the end of a 5 week campaign. The centerpiece of the fundraising efforts, and the event, was the chance to see the coaching staff and a couple of Vice Principals support the Fox Foundation by having their heads shaved in support of Cancer research. Terry Fox Secondary School campaign organizer Chuck Provost said the amount raised made them the top secondary school in the province (at least so far).
As part of their dedication to giving back to the communities in which they do business, local marketing company, Rhino Marketing Inc. helped the students exceed their objective by offering a cash donation of $5000.00 as an incentive for additional administrators to participate in the event with the coaching staff. Said Mr. Provost, "We really appreciate Mr. Morneau’s support. It put us over the top."
