SHARE's 4th Annual Just Desserts Gala

Vancouver, BC - At this time of year, Rhinos typically consume four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate truffles. Again this year Rhino Marketing Inc. offered their support to SHARE Family & Community Services Society by being the Champagne Truffle Sponsor at the 4th Annual Just Desserts Fundraising Gala. This year, the event raised over $60,000 for SHARE.
This year's event saw six of the Tri-Cities' best restaurants Hazards on the Plateau, the Backstage Grille at the Boulevard Casino, Pasta Polo, jameson's Newport Village, Into the Fire Café, and Wilbur and Sebastian's Bistro, battle for their sweet creations to be crowned "Best Dessert." The judging committee consisted of local household names such as football great Lui Passaglia, as well as Vancouver food critic Fred Lee. The event also boasted a silent and live auction, and was hosted by none other than Austin "Danger" Powers.
"We are very pleased to support such a worthy organization such as SHARE," said Chief Rhino Doug Morneau of his company's sponsorship of the event. "We have been blessed over the years as our clients have prospered, allowing us to give more back to both the local and global community. Giving is a core value and part of what we believe in as a company. That's why we're a sponsor."
Rhino was also able to take their involvement in this event to the next level this year by offering their expert philanthropic events planner / Community Relations Rhino, Heather Morneau to assist in planning the event.
Just Desserts Committee Chair Dale Clarke said, "it was an amazing event. We were entertained by Austin Powers the entire evening and we always knew why we were there - to raise funds for SHARE. We couldn't have done this without the tremendous support of all of our sponsors and our guests. We're already starting to talk about the event for 2009!!"
